Now that they're both saying funny things, we have to revise the title. This time, it was Nathan's funny.
Rachel has a (sometimes quite frustrating) habit of beginning a sentence, then pausing for what is often a very long time before continuing, if she continues at all. The other night as we sat down for dinner, she was apparently reflecting on something that happened at church on Christmas, and she said, "Father Ed..."
When she didn't say anything else, Nathan saw his chance to move things along toward eating, so he continued for her: "And the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Ay-MEN."
We did manage not to laugh out loud, but sometimes it's awfully difficult!
