Jeez--it's August, already! I would ask where the summer is going, but I have a pretty good idea. See below.
We made limeade.
We went camping. Hiking, eating s'mores, catching fireflies, peeing in the woods--the whole bit!
We've done a lot of reading. Rachel is tearing through chapter books like they're free. (We get them from the library, so they are. But she's a reading machine!)
We picked blueberries. Only about 15 pounds, but that kept us in blue teeth for quite a while!
We did a week of zoo camp. Rachel's group was called the Wildcats, and she decorated her face accordingly on the last day. Nathan's group made capes and ears and binoculars.
And we have made some spectacular forts and done some lovely al fresco dining.
So that's where our summer's been going. We are living it up! Here's hoping yours is going to lots of living, as well.
